The Merchandise Manager is responsible for leading the Company‘s merchandising function across all brands and product categories. This role oversees merchandise planning, buying, inventory management, pricing strategy, product allocation, supplier management, and product development to support business growth and optimize commercial performance.
Working closely with Headquarter and cross-functional teams, the Merchandise Manager also leads merchandising activities for licensing, ODM, and OEM products while driving operational excellence across the product lifecycle.
I. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute merchandise strategies, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans, buying plans, seasonal assortment planning, and order management across all brands.
- Lead inventory planning, product allocation, replenishment, pricing strategy, and merchandise distribution to optimize sales performance and inventory efficiency.
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, customer insights, and business data to provide commercial analysis and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage merchandise master data, shipment schedules, product launches, new store openings, promotions, sales events, and other merchandising operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Headquarter, suppliers, and business partners while overseeing merchandising activities related to licensing, ODM, and OEM products.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Merchandise team, ensuring effective collaboration with Sales, Retail, E-Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of merchandising processes, operational efficiency, and other projects assigned by the Line Manager.
II. REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor‘s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Merchandising or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role, preferably within the fashion, sportswear, footwear, or lifestyle retail industry.
- Strong experience in merchandise planning, buying, inventory management, pricing strategy, and commercial analysis.
- Experience working with international brands, global suppliers is highly preferred.
- Exposure to Licensing, ODM, OEM, or private label product development is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, planning, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple brands and business priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and merchandising systems (ERP/Odoo experience is a plus).
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
