The successful candidate will oversee the below activities:

The Merchandise Executive will be responsible for both merchandising operations and sourcing activities, ensuring the right product is developed, produced, and delivered efficiently. This role requires close collaboration with suppliers, factories, and internal teams to manage product lifecycle from development to allocation.

I. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Source and develop new suppliers/factories that align with product requirements, cost targets, and quality standards.
  • Work directly with manufacturers on product development, costing, and production timelines.
  • Handle supplier negotiation on pricing, MOQ, lead time, and contract terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Coordinate with factories on sampling, prototyping, and bulk production follow-up.
  • Experience in ODM projects (working with factory design proposals) is a strong advantage.

2. Merchandising & Product Planning

  • Propose product assortment (style, design, quantity, pricing) based on market insights and budget.
  • Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to plan product ranges and optimize stock levels.
  • Monitor product lifecycle, from development to in-store performance.

3. Allocation & Inventory Management

  • Manage product allocation to stores and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with operations/logistics for inbound shipments.
  • Monitor stock performance to minimize overstock and stock-outs.

4. Market & Performance Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking.
  • Analyze seasonal trends, promotions, and new product launches in the market.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory, and product effectiveness.

II. REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or procurement (preferably in Fashion / Sports Retail).
  • Hands-on experience working with factories/manufacturers is required.
  • Exposure to product development and sourcing processes (sampling, costing, production follow-up).
  • Experience in ODM projects is a strong advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Good analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and result-driven.
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken) is preferred.
