Report to: Senior Operations Director | Level: Management
The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial performance, financial planning, and risk management. This role will work independently to focus on delivering high-quality financial analysis, ensuring strong financial controls, and acting as a strategic finance partner to the Accounting team and key stakeholders.
I. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management:
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and cashflow.
- Monitor financial performance and identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, policies, and reporting.
- Responsible for working with banking partners to expand and manage the Company’s credit facilities.
Accounting Partnership & Compliance:
- Act as a finance business partner to the Accounting team, providing guidance, review, and consultation on accounting matters.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and relevant laws.
- Review and oversee statutory reporting, tax filings, and regulatory submissions in collaboration with the Accounting team.
- Coordinate and work with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, and banks.
- Review and monitor vendor contracts and financial commitments to ensure financial soundness and compliance.

II. REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor‘s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional qualification preferred.
- 3-4 years of experience; with 1 year at the same level/role.
- Having experience in Retail/FMCG is preferred.
- Strong understanding of VAS, tax regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and risk management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in managing external audits and tax inspections.
